We are asking Utilities customers to identify the material of their water service line by using this self-reporting tool. Even if you don't have documentation on the material type, your contribution is still valuable. This self-reporting tool is for all properties within Oklahoma City where the property has an Oklahoma City water meter, including single-family homes, multi-family complexes and businesses.
In Oklahoma City, most water service lines are buried underground, making them difficult to identify without digging. However, some property owners may have home or building improvement records that provide useful information about service line material.
The private service line to identify begins approximately 18-24 inches from the water meter (refer to graphic below). Please DO NOT dig to locate your service line or look inside your water meter box. Reminder: If having a licensed plumber access your private service line, always call 811 before digging begins.
