The Bricktown Urban Design District's regulations and guidelines are intended to preserve the district's warehouse flavor while promoting commercial and retail development.
The Downtown Design Commission and staff review new construction and expansions or alternations of building exteriors within the Bricktown Urban Design District. The Commission also reviews proposals for demolition, murals, Planned Unit Developments, subdivisions and City projects like parks, monuments, public art, landmarks and bridges within the district, and issue or deny Certificates of Approval based on their findings. Decisions may be appealed to the Board of Adjustment.
