Rentals & Reservations

Event planning is easy when you choose from one of OKC Parks rental facilities. With three event centers, two amphitheaters, picnic pavilions, outdoor garden spaces, and other specialty areas, OKC Parks has just the venue to fit every style and budget.

Booking Your Event

Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, up to a year in advance, except for athletic fields, which can be rented the first business day of each quarter. We cannot hold a reservation unless payment is made.

Payment

  • Payment can be made by cash, personal check, cashier's check, money order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card only).
  • Payment is due immediately for any rental regardless of the time frame of the booking.

  • Personal checks cannot be accepted for reservations made less than 14 days before the rental date.

Permits

  • The Parks & Recreation Department will issue a facility rental permit after all fees have been paid. The permit will be mailed or emailed. If the permittee pays in person at our downtown office, we will provide a copy of the permit at purchase.
  •  Permits are issued only for the individual or organization whose name is on the permit. If a transfer is requested, the permittee must request an amendment with the Parks & Recreation Department.
  • The permittee should take a copy of the permit with them to their scheduled event in case there is a conflict.
  • Certain items require separate permits, including amplified sound equipment, a bounce house or similar inflatable fixture, and vendor booths. Please call our reservation specialists at (405) 297-3882 about the permit process for these amenities.

Rental Logistics

  • Alcohol: Consumption of alcoholic beverages in Oklahoma City Parks is allowed.  Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed on any park road or parking lot, or in Dolese Youth Park.  Glass containers are prohibited in any City Park. City Ord. No. § 38-95.
  • Emergencies: For on-site emergencies requiring police assistance, call 911.
  • Hours: Special event centers and pavilions must be vacated at the time indicated on the permit. For late-night parties scheduled until 11 p.m., this means that all guests must be gone and the rented facility must be cleaned of all decorations by 11 p.m. Guests may not stay after 11 p.m., when parks close. No exceptions.
  • Insurance: Public liability insurance and/or event security may be required for certain special events. Ask our reservation specialists if it is required for your event.
  • Key Pickup: The Parks & Recreation Department's business office is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you do not pick up your keys by 5 p.m. by the Friday before your weekend rental (Thursday if Friday is a designated City holiday), you may not be able to access your rental facility.
  • Other Parties: When you arrive at your rental pavilion or event center, make sure to have a copy of the event permit with you. If another party is already there when you arrive, you can show proof of your rental. If the other party refuses to leave the area, please call 9-1-1.
  • Tobacco: Per City ordinance 30-470, all tobacco products, including lighted and unlighted tobacco, as well as electronic cigarettes, are strictly prohibited on park property. This includes use of cigarettes, cigars, vapes, and unlit tobacco in both outdoor areas as well as at picnic pavilions and inside event centers.
  • Weather: OKC Parks reserves the right to determine the severity of inclement weather and the opportunity to reschedule. In case of severe inclement weather on the date of the rental, the applicant may call the emergency number on the permit at least one hour before the event and must call the Parks Administration office by the next business day to reschedule. An alternate date within one year must be chosen in fourteen calendar days. Refunds are not given for inclement weather.
