Open for adoptions and lost & found noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. We are closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays.

Open for dropping off found animals 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday except the third Wednesday of January, April, July and October. On these days, the shelter opens for drop offs at 11 a.m. due to staff training.

The shelter is closed for New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Animal control officers respond to complaints in the City of OKC from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the year and are on-call for emergencies overnight.

Dropping Off Donations

Did you know you can help local homeless animals by donating blankets, toys, treats and more to OKC Animal Welfare?

Bring items from our Wish List to the OKC Animal Shelter during our normal operating hours, and we'll give you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. You can also search amazon.com's wish lists for OKC Animal Welfare's list of needs, and your purchases are shipped straight to us.
