Spaying and Neutering

Spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are surgical procedures that help prevent pet overpopulation by ensuring your pet can't breed.

All adoptable pets at the OKC Animal Shelter have been spayed or neutered. Spaying and neutering also have health and behavior benefits, including lowering cancer risks and reducing the urge to wander, mark territory or fight.

We offer free spay and neuter surgery to OKC residents. Call (405) 313-1469 to make an appointment. You can get more information from our flyers about spay and neuter surgery for dogs(PDF, 32KB) and cats(PDF, 32KB).
