Kids for OKC Animals

Kids for OKC Animals is a community engagement program for kids up to age 18 who perform service projects helping OKC Animal Shelter pets.

Your support makes a difference. By joining, you're among a group of amazing kids in our community serving the animals at OKC Animal Welfare.

Everything you need to get started is in our Kids for OKC Animals handbook(PDF, 384KB). You can pick up a copy at the OKC Animal Shelter, or call us at (405) 297-3067 or email awvolunteers@okc.gov for more information.

Speakers Bureau

OKC Animal Welfare staff and volunteers are available to come to your school, corporate group, neighborhood association or any community group as part of our Speakers Bureau.

Our speakers are prepared to discuss any issue related to animals in our community, and we can tailor the topic to your group.

Youth groups must be part of the Kids for OKC Animals program to arrange for a Speakers Bureau presentation.
