MAPS 4 will transform Oklahoma City’s mental health system with $44.6 million in capital projects that will provide new mental health and substance abuse services and relieve pressure on the Oklahoma County Jail.

Quick Facts

Project includes:

  • A new mental health crisis center ($12.27 million)
    • The programming for this center is anticipated to include space for assessment, detoxification, crisis de-escalation, counseling, respite, and adequate sleep.
  • Restoration Center ($24.54 million)
    • The restoration center will include a crisis center, methamphetamine detox, substance abuse services and more.
  • Transitional housing ($7.8 million)
    • Funds for temporary housing for people experiencing mental illness and homelessness while transitioning out of a crisis center.

On August 16, 2022, Oklahoma City Council voted to revise the MAPS 4 Implementation Plan(PDF, 9MB), increasing the projected revenue estimates by $100 million to $1.07 billion.
