Submit an Online Police Report

Welcome to the Oklahoma City Police Department Online Police Report System.

This system allows you to submit a police report but should not be a substitute for calling 911 in the event of an emergency or a crime that is in progress.

This should NOT be used for:

  • Crimes occurring outside the city limits of Oklahoma City.
  • Anonymous reports of criminal activity.
  • Reporting a theft of a firearm or motor vehicle(s).
  • Reporting an incident in which you need forensic evidence collected such as fingerprints or blood/DNA.
  • Reporting an incident in which the suspect is KNOWN.

Notes:

  • All submitted reports using the Online Police Report System will be reviewed by our Records Unit.
  • You will need a valid email address to submit a report.
  • Filing a false police report is a crime.
  • You will see the list of available incident types you can choose from. Each type will give you a brief description and some examples to help you choose the correct one.
    • Burglary, Embezzlement, Forgery, Fraud, Fraud-Credit Card/ATM, Harassment, Identity Theft, Lost Property, Non-Criminal Matter, Simple Assault, Theft from Vehicle/Vehicle Burglary, Theft/Larceny, Threats, Vandalism, Vandalism to Vehicle
  • Any fields throughout the report that are required will be marked with a red asterisk*

After submitting your report:

  • You will receive an email notification that will assign you a Tracking Number for your report until it is processed.
  • When your report is processed, you will receive an email notification that states whether the report needs follow-up information, is rejected, or is approved. An approval email will assign you an Oklahoma City Police Department Incident Report Number.

Report FAQ

  • What is a known suspect?
    • A known suspect is when either you or someone else knows the name or identity of the person who committed the criminal offense against you, or where to find the person, or the license plate number of the suspect(s) vehicle.
  • How can I find the status of my report?
    • You can contact the Oklahoma City Police Records Unit at 405 297-1112. You will need either your Tracking Number or your Incident Report Number to provide to the Records Clerk.
  • What is the difference between a Tracking Number and an Incident Number.
    • Once you complete your report online, it will be assigned a system Tracking Number. When the report is approved and accepted by the Oklahoma City Police Department, you receive an official Incident Report Number.
