As the federal government shutdown continues and the funding for SNAP is suspended, more Oklahoma City residents face uncertainty. Although the City of Oklahoma City does not operate food pantries or provide direct financial assistance, we have compiled a list of resources available to those in need.
The Project Life 5k, a powerful initiative, began as a fundraiser to purchase smoke alarms for Oklahoma City residents. The City recognized the significant impact of providing smoke alarms and now includes them in their budget, enabling Project Life to fund the implementation of preventive solutions that greatly reduce the risk and impact of fire and life safety hazards in the community.
Our 5k race is professionally timed and winds through beautiful downtown OKC. The 1-mile fun run/walk is popular with families, and participants will also receive a finisher medal.
The race will kick off with a demonstration from the Oklahoma City Fire Department Honor Guard. There will be music, and photo opportunities with Oklahoma City Fire firefighters.
Together, we can truly make a significant difference in the lives of our fellow residents.
Don't miss out on the fun! Join us for our 12th annual "Project Life Run"!
