City of OKC offices closed July 3

Trash and recycling collection as usual. City offices, Municipal Court, Animal Welfare and other City facilities will be closed July 3 in observance of Independence Day.

Splash into summer

The aquatic centers are open 1-6 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays, May 23 through Aug. 2. Pools are closed Mondays and on Juneteenth and Independence Day. Pools are also open Aug. 3-30, 1 to 6 p.m., only on weekends.

New north section of Wiley Post Park opens

The improvements include two new playgrounds, a band shell, shaded swing loungers, solar lighting, new trees, shade structures, parking and sweeping views of the river and downtown. The North Oklahoma River Trail runs through the park as well.

OKC’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center closed June 25

Oklahoma City's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be closed Thursday, June 25, for maintenance and will reopen Friday, June 26. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center at 1621 S. Portland Ave. accepts a variety of hazardous materials from residents' homes year-round.
