Redesigning System Supports for Families

Families experiencing homelessness face a distinct set of challenges, and our system has to be built with those challenges in mind.

We took a hard look at how family support was structured, asking honest questions about where gaps existed, where families were getting stuck, and what it would take to create a faster, more effective pathway back to stable housing for parents and children. That process was driven by the expertise of service providers, advocates, and partners who came together to build a bold, comprehensive plan centered on our shared values.

The result is a commitment to ensuring no family falls through the cracks.

A Transformational Investment

To bring this plan to life, two Day-One grants totaling $5 million over five years have been awarded to two of our trusted service partners, City Rescue Mission and City Care.

These funds are dedicated entirely to supporting families as they work toward stable housing, giving our system the resources needed to make transformational, lasting change.

This investment is about more than funding. It's about delivering stability, dignity, and a real path forward for the parents, children, and caregivers in our community who deserve more than a temporary fix.
