Oklahoma City Boards and Appointees

Mayor David Holt makes appointments to nearly 500 positions across nearly 60 active and ongoing boards, commissions, committees, authorities and trusts. Those entities and their appointees are listed below.

If a City of Oklahoma City entity is not listed here, it is either no longer active, it has no members appointed by the Mayor, it is an entity with an explicit sunset (i.e. a task force would not be included here), or it is slated to be dissolved soon.

All resident appointees listed below were confirmed by the City Council upon Mayor Holt's appointment, except for:

  • Appointees to four entities that are not subject to consideration by the City Council as a body: Alarm Review Board, the Mayor's Committee on Disability Concerns, the Citizens Committee for Community Development and the Community Action Agency Board of Directors.

  • Positions that are automatically held by virtue of employment, such as positions reserved for the Mayor or City Manager. Where that is the case, it is noted.

  • Some positions that are appointed by other City officers or departments. Where that is the case, it is noted.

  • Surrogates, who are selected by the holder of the position, and are not subject to any approval process.

Some of the entities below have additional members not listed here that are appointed by an entity separate from any officer or department within the City of Oklahoma City. Where that is the case, it is noted.

If there is no parenthetical information next to a name, that position is at-large. If there are special requirements for the position, that is noted parenthetically. Some positions on some entities are created to represent the eight wards of the city. Where that is the case, Mayor Holt has accepted the recommendation of the Councilmember for that ward, per longstanding custom.

Most entities elect their own chairpersons, but in some cases, the Mayor is required to name the chair, and in some even rarer cases, vice chair. Where that is the case, the chair or vice chair position is noted parenthetically.

This listing is updated as of May 13, 2025, is regularly monitored, and is intended to be comprehensive and accurate. If there are questions about this list, please feel free to reach out via email to mayor@okc.gov.

As President of the Council, the Mayor also makes appointments of Councilmembers to the standing committees of the City Council.
