OKC is committed to serving all people. City employees, including police officers and firefighters, focus on their core responsibilities to provide essential services. City employees do not ask about immigration status when providing services. The City Council has three standing committees comprised of sitting Councilmembers. These committees can each include no more than four Councilmembers and they advise the Mayor and City Council on specific matters under their jurisdiction. The chairpersons and members of the committees are appointed by the Mayor, as President of the Council. The most recent appointment of Councilmembers to these committees was made by Mayor David Holt in May 2025.
Oversees the work of the City Auditor and the City Auditor's office and advises the Mayor and Council on related matters. The City Auditor is appointed by the Mayor and City Council.
Oversees the work of the Municipal Judges and advises the Mayor and Council on related matters. The Municipal Judges are appointed by the Mayor and City Council.
Advises the Mayor and Council on the City's annual state and federal legislative agendas.
