Lost and Found
Oklahoma City Animal Welfare rescues more than 24,000 animals each year that have come to us as strays or been turned in by their owners.
Stray Animal Policy
Stray animals with identification are held for at least five days, and those without for at least three. We strive to reunite pets with their owners when identification is current. After the hold period, animals are assessed for health and behavior and may enter our adoption program, where they can remain indefinitely.
