Oklahoma City employees pledge $613,312 to local charities

Each year, employees come together to support their neighbors through this workplace campaign, which benefits Allied Arts, Community Health Charities, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, and the United Way of Central Oklahoma. Together, these federations represent hundreds of nonprofit organizations that provide food, housing, health care, arts, and educational programs to Oklahoma City residents.

Chris Daniels named Oklahoma City’s new General Services Director

City Manager Craig Freeman has announced the appointment of Chris Daniels as Oklahoma City’s next General Services Director. He succeeds Paul Bronson, who is retiring on Jan. 1, 2026, after 38 years with the City. Daniels will begin transitioning into his new role on Nov. 14.

The City’s next one-stop hiring event on Feb. 13 will offer interviews for technical positions such as building maintenance mechanics, irrigation technicians, industrial electricians and industrial heat and air mechanics, elevator and electrical inspectors and plant operators. The City will also host in-person testing for Animal Welfare Officer positions.

Those seeking indoor, customer service roles can also take a multiple-choice test to qualify for a call-center position at the City’s job fair. The one-stop hiring event will be downtown at 420 W. Main St between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Oct. 19.
