Oklahoma City Manager Craig Freeman announced the selection of Dusty Borchardt as the next Information Technology Director.
His official start date is effective immediately.
“Dusty has been a valuable member of our team for 20 years, earning a reputation for being an excellent project manager and strategic thinker,” City Manager Craig Freeman said. “His dedication, passion and commitment will be assets in his new leadership role for the City.”
Borchardt succeeds Schad Meldrum, who recently retired after 25 years of service with the City.
“It’s an honor to step into this role and continue serving the City of Oklahoma City alongside such a talented and dedicated team,” Borchardt said. “I’m excited to build on our momentum, strengthen partnerships across the organization, and leverage technology to make a meaningful impact on the services we provide to our community.”
Borchardt will oversee 130 employees across the IT Department’s three divisions.
