Pools and Aquatic Centers
OKC Parks has the cool getaway you need from the hot summer sun. Purchase a summer pass for your family, participate in swim lessons, book the pool for a party, or stop by anytime to enjoy our two family aquatic centers, one outdoor community pool, or any of our 16 spraygrounds throughout Oklahoma City. We also have indoor pools at the Pete White Health & Wellness Center and Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center.

Aquatics Rules & Regulations
For the health, safety, and protection of all visitors, we ask that you follow the following rules and regulations when visiting an Oklahoma City pool or family aquatic center:
- Swimming is prohibited without a lifeguard on duty.
- Patrons must comply with instructions from lifeguards and aquatics staff regarding rules, conduct, or safety, including clearing the pool as deemed necessary.
- All incidents must be reported to lifeguard or OKC Parks staff person on duty immediately.
- Patrons must shower prior to entering the pool with soap and warm water. Excessive lotions and/or oils are prohibited.
- Children 2 and younger or those patrons wearing diapers must wear a swim diaper. Diapers not marked for swimming are prohibited in the pool.
- Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult in the water and on the pool deck.
- Children ages 11-12 must be accompanied by an adult on the pool deck. The adult should be observant of the youth but is not required to be in the water.
- Children 13 and older may swim unaccompanied by an adult. However, contact information for a guardian is required for entry into any aquatic facility for anyone younger than 18.
- Children requiring a flotation device must be accompanied in the pool within arm’s reach of an adult or guardian age 18 and older. The device must be properly fitting and U.S. Coast Guard-approved.
- No smoking, tobacco, or vaping products.
- Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol are prohibited.
- Running and rough play are prohibited.
- Behavior, language, and clothing deemed to be offensive or profane are prohibited.
- Floats, toys, or other personal items are allowed at the discretion of lifeguards.
- Appropriate swimwear required.
- Bathing load limits are posted on site at all facilities.
- The Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Safety
Our goal is to maintain a safe and family-friendly environment for all patrons. Weapons are prohibited at OKC Parks aquatic facilities. This includes, but is not limited to:

Firearms, including concealed or open carry
- Knives, other than small utility or folding knives
- Explosives or fireworks
Any item intended or used as a weapon
Any individual found carrying a weapon will be asked to leave immediately and may be subject to further action.
Public Health
We want all visitors to have a safe, healthy, enjoyable swimming experience, so OKC Parks asks that everyone follow these important rules:
- Do not enter the pool if you are feeling unwell, experiencing diarrhea, or have had symptoms of illness in the past 48 hours.
- Avoid swallowing pool water to reduce the risk of waterborne illnesses.
Practice good hygiene by washing your hands after using the restroom and before eating.
- If you have skin lesions, sores, inflamed eyes, mouth or nose, are wearing a bandage, or have symptoms of a communicable disease, you will be asked to leave and return at a later date or time.
Inclement Weather
In the event of a weather or other emergency, please follow the instructions given by pool staff and lifeguards. Rain checks may be issued to patrons for prolonged facility closures.
What to Wear
Oklahoma City pools and family aquatic centers are family-friendly facilities. We ask that all guests be respectful toward others and not wear clothing that displays images or words that promote violence, sex, drugs, or hatred toward groups or individuals.

Swim Lessons
Youth group swimming lessons are available at all Oklahoma City pools for beginner, intermediate, and advanced swimmers. Private swimming lessons for all ages are available at all pools and family aquatic centers. For more information, contact sherri.plunkett@okc.gov.
Swim Teams
OKC Parks has recreation swim teams for ages 6-16. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle and backstroke. Practices are 9 to 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday during the summer season. Meets are on Saturday mornings at various pools throughout the metro. Registration is $50 per swimmer per season. For more information, contact sherri.plunkett@okc.gov.
