The community is invited to a Ward 4 Info Session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, to learn more about the Community Public Safety Advisory Board's purpose, activities and accomplishments.

The free event will be held at the Pete White Health and Wellness Center, 4021 S. Walker Ave., and is open to the public.

The Community Public Safety Advisory Board serves as a permanent, independent committee in Oklahoma City that reviews the complaint investigative process and results of completed department investigations involving Oklahoma City Public Safety Officers.

"We look forward to sharing with our residents in Ward 4 the important work that the CPSAB is doing to continually improve public safety in our ward and throughout the city," Ward 4 Councilmember Todd Stone said. “I’m grateful to our CPSAB Ward 4 Member Jason Brown for his willingness to dedicate his time and talent to ensure public safety services meet our residents’ expectations."

The Info Session will include comments from Ward 4 Councilman Todd Stone and a panel discussion moderated by Assistant City Manager Jason Ferbrache. Panelists include:

  • Jason Brown, CPSAB Ward 4 Member
  • Andrea Grayson, OKC Public Safety Partnership Implementation Manager
  • Captain William Ricketts, Office of Professional Standards, OKCPD

“Now in place for over a year, the CPSAB has continued its work to enhance community trust and confidence through education and communication,” Grayson said. “CPSAB Info Sessions are being held in wards throughout Oklahoma City to provide a chance for community members to learn about the board’s activities and its purpose in enhancing public safety for all residents.”

The Community Public Safety Advisory Board is a product of the Public Safety Partnership. The redesign of the board was one of 39 recommendations included in the report received by City Council in March 2022 to enhance public safety for all residents. The work of the board and public info sessions address two more recommendations from the report.
