Ball Field Rentals

Athletic fields for youth and adult league play are available for seasonal rental. 

Practice rentals will open on the first business day of the practice rental start time frame for each season:

  • Spring: March to May 31 with rentals opening in January
  • Summer: June 1 to August 31 with rentals opening in April 
  • Fall: September 1 to November 30 with rentals opening in July
  • Winter: December 1 to February 28 with rentals opening in October

If the first business day of the quarter is a City holiday, then the permits will be available on the next business day. 

How to book a field:

  • Athletic fields reservations are available first come, first served.
  • Athletic leagues, tournaments, and competitions must follow the Athletic Event Parks application process and may submit application up to 364 days before the start of the first day of play for their event.

Additional Fees:

  • Prep, chalking and dragging: $25 per field
  • Prep, field painting: $125 per field
  • Entry Fee: $20 per team per day
  • Entry Fee: $20 per team per day
  • Concessions: $10 an hour per facility
  • Lights: $5 an hour per field

Types of fields:

  • Premier Fields: Mowed multiple times per week. 
  • Secondary Fields: Mowed weekly. 
  • Basic Fields: Mowed every two to three weeks. 

Hourly Rates

Premier Fields: 

  • Adult game, $40
  • Youth game, $30
  • Adult practice, $20
  • Youth practice, $15

Secondary Fields: 

  • Adult game, $20
  • Youth game, $15
  • Adult practice, $5
  • Youth practice, $3

Basic Fields: 

  • Games and practices, $2

  • Douglass Baseball Field, 2131 NE 10th St., one diamond with lighting
  • Route 66 Adaptive Ballfield, 9945 NW 23rd St., one diamond with lighting
  • Wendel Whisenhunt, 3200 S. Independence Ave., seven soccer fields with lighting on four of fields and one diamond with lighting
  • Wheeler Park, 1120 S Western Ave., four diamonds with lighting
  • Woodson East, 3403 S May Ave., six diamonds with lighting and four soccer fields with lighting

Secondary Fields

  • Edwards Park, 2917 NE 14th St., two soccer fields with lighting
  • Hefner Field, 3307 NW Grand Blvd., one soccer field with lighting
  • Lightning Creek, 801 SW 81st St., five soccer fields
  • Page Stadium, 400 N High Ave., one soccer field with lighting
  • Southern Oaks, 818 S Walker Ave., one diamond and one football field

Cancellation

If a cancellation notice is received more than 30 calendar days in advance, an alternate date within the current or next open season may be chosen at no additional charge, or a refund may be given minus the $50.00 cancellation fee. If a cancellation notice is received less than 30 days in advance of the event, an alternate date within the current or next open season may be chosen at no additional charge, but no refund will be given. You will have fourteen calendar days to select your new reservation date. If no notice of cancellation is given no refund will be given. Weather is unpredictable. Parks Administration reserves the right to determine the severity of inclement weather and the opportunity to reschedule. In case of severe inclement weather on the date of the rental, the applicant may call the emergency number on the contract at least one hour before the event and must call the Parks Administration office by the next business day to reschedule. An alternate date within the current or next open season must be chosen in fourteen calendar days. Refunds are not given for inclement weather.
