The City of Oklahoma City allows regulated hunting of ducks, mergansers, and geese during the Fall Oklahoma Waterfowl Season at Lake Stanley Draper and the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge. State hunting license and City hunting permits are required.

Beginning November 1, 2025, designated blind site locations are available on a daily basis and must be reserved in advance. All Federal and State laws regarding the hunting of migratory waterfowl, as well as local City ordinances, will be enforced.

Duck Blind Reservations

The following steps are required to reserve an Oklahoma City Parks duck blind:

  1. Obtain an Oklahoma state hunting license
  2. Obtain City waterfowl shooting permit. Permits are $5 per day or $20 per year. Permits are not required for hunters younger than 16 if accompanied by an adult with a valid City Waterfowl Shooting permit.
  3. Obtain an Oklahoma City boating permit if applicable. Permits are $6.25 per day or $33 per year.
  4. Reserve a designated blind site location. Reservations are $5 per day and available up to one week in advance. Designated blind site locations are limited to one per person per day. A link to the blind location booking site will be made available on this page when reservations open for the 2025 season.

Every hunter must have their Oklahoma state hunting license, Oklahoma City Waterfowl Shooting permit, and daily designated blind location permit in possession at all times when using the blind site location.
