David Greenwell is a lifelong resident of south Oklahoma City and was elected to the City Council in March 2011.

He and his wife Pam have two sons, Jake and Clint and two grandchildren. Councilman Greenwell received a B.S. degree in accounting from Oklahoma City University, an M.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma, and is a graduate of the Kennedy School of Government’s Comparative Tax Policy and Administration Program at Harvard University.

Councilman Greenwell currently serves on the Social Services, Trails, and Audit Committees of the Oklahoma City Council.  He is also a director of the Oklahoma City Redevelopment Authority and trustee of Oklahoma City Airport Trust, Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority, and the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust. He is also a frequent rider on EMBARK, our City’s bus system, and enjoys biking to work.

In the community, Councilman Greenwell serves on the board of directors of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Good Shepherd Ministries and the Committee of 100. He is also a member of Rotary Club #29 and Leadership Oklahoma City Alumni Association (Class V). He and Pam are active members of St. Luke’s-Asbury UM Church, where both teach Bible classes.

David has 40 years of experience in public accounting and is a partner with RSM US, LLP.  He regularly contributes articles to various business publications and served as an expert resource person for the White House Conference on Small Business. He is Chairman of the Oklahoma Accountancy Board and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Steed School of Accounting at the University of Oklahoma.  A past recipient of the AICPA’s Public Service Award and the OSCPA award for Outstanding CPA of Oklahoma City.  David is also an inductee into the Capitol Hill High School Athletic and Activities Hall of Fame and Oklahoma City Community College Hall of Fame.
