Water main break impacts traffic on Northwest 23rd near Harvey Avenue

Oklahoma City Utilities crews are working to repair a 16-inch water main break on Northwest 23rd Street between Harvey Avenue and Hudson Avenue. Lane closures are in place for all westbound lanes of NW 23rd between Harvey and Hudson. Drivers traveling west on 23rd at Harvey will need to detour. At this time, eastbound lanes of 23rd between Harvey and Hudson remain open, but those lanes may close later today as repairs progress.
Customers in the area are expected to experience temporary disruption to water service, but crews are working to minimize the impact.
Officials anticipate repair work being completed by 8 p.m. Lane closures will remain in place until repairs are finished.
