The Community Public Safety Advisory Board serves as a permanent, independent committee in Oklahoma City that reviews the complaint investigative process and results of completed department investigations involving Oklahoma City Public Safety Officers.
"Public safety starts with transparency and community involvement," said Ward 1 Councilperson Bradley Carter. "This Info Session allows residents to learn more about the important work of the Community Public Safety Advisory Board and how it strengthens Ward 1 and the entire city. I appreciate Greg Grimaud's dedication to making sure our public safety services remain responsive and accountable to the people we serve."
The Info Session will include a panel discussion moderated by Oklahoma City Assistant City Manager Jason Ferbrache. Panelists include:
- Bradley Carter, Ward 1 Councilperson
- Greg Grimaud, CPSAB Ward 1 Member
- Andrea Grayson, OKC Public Safety Partnership Implementation Manager
- Captain Jermaine Johnson, Office of Professional Standards, OKCPD
“Now nearing its second-year milestone, the CPSAB is continuing the vital work of enhancing community trust and confidence through education and communication,” Implementation Manager Andrea Grayson said. “We’ve been holding CPSAB Info Sessions in wards throughout Oklahoma City to provide community members a chance to learn about the board’s activities and its purpose in enhancing public safety for all residents.”
The Community Public Safety Advisory Board is a product of the Public Safety Partnership. The creation of the board was one of 39 recommendations included in the report(PDF, 2MB) received by City Council in March 2022 to enhance public safety for all residents. The work of the board and public info sessions address two more recommendations from the report.
