OKC Utilities Line Maintenance crews are working to repair a ruptured 12-inch water main near the intersection of Northeast 122nd Street and North Santa Fe Avenue.
Due to the complexity of the repair and safety considerations, work is scheduled to begin this evening and continue into the morning hours.
While repairs are underway, officials anticipate two to five customers in the vicinity may see a brief disruption in water service.
To ensure crew safety, both westbound lanes of 122nd Street will be temporarily closed from North Santa Fe Avenue to the southbound Broadway Extension Service Road. Southbound vehicles exiting the Broadway Extension onto 122nd will be restricted to only turning eastbound.
The closure will begin at 7 p.m. today, Feb. 26, and both lanes are expected to reopen around noon on Thursday, Feb. 27.
The cause of the main break has not been determined.
