Oklahoma City Animal Welfare is facing a canine overpopulation, with nearly 400 adoptable dogs in its care after severe weather slowed adoptions this week.
To help these dogs find their forever homes, the shelter is waiving all canine adoption fees this Saturday, Feb. 22. All that’s needed to adopt is a current ID.
The shelter is filled with a variety of dogs, including huskies, labrador retrievers, American bulldogs, boxers, German shepherds, rottweilers, cattle dogs, and more, ranging from puppies to older dogs. All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives.
Adoption hours are from noon to 5 p.m. at Oklahoma City Animal Welfare, 2811 SE 29th St.
