Black History Month Health Fair
Join the OUHSC Black Student Association, Unity Clinic and Oklahoma City’s Parks and Recreation Department for its annual Black History Month Health Fair on March 9. The Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center, 909 Fredrick Douglass Ave., is hosting the health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The goal is to equip participants with knowledge and resources to promote healthier lifestyles.
The fair will feature point-of-care screenings, and educational and informational booths including the American Heart Association and OU’s Stephenson Cancer Center.

Kids Dance
The Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center, 909 Fredrick Douglass Ave., is hosting Kids Dance classes for children ages 6 – 15 beginning March 9 at 3 p.m. This is an energetic and creative dance experience designed to introduce kids to the joy of movement, music, and self-expression through various dance styles. Adult Birding Walk
Join OKC Parks at Martin Park Nature Center, 5000 W Memorial Rd., for an unforgettable birding experience with former naturalist Neil Garrison at 8 a.m. on March 9.
Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just starting out, these walks are the perfect way to explore the outdoors and discover the beauty of Oklahoma’s birds. Grab your binoculars and join us for this free experience. This program is for ages 18 and up. Registration ends March 9.
