Resurfacing Project of the 2025 Bond Program begins on Mustang Road

The first official street resurfacing project funded through the 2025 Bond Program is now underway, marking the beginning of a long-term investment in improving the community's transportation infrastructure.

Construction begins today on Mustang Road from Wilshire Boulevard to Britton Road. The $960,000 resurfacing project is scheduled for completion before the start of the upcoming school year, minimizing disruptions during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

As the first of 382 transportation projects included in the 2025 Bond Program, this project represents the launch of a comprehensive effort to improve roadway conditions, enhance safety, and extend the life of critical infrastructure throughout the community.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution while traveling through the work zone and to expect temporary lane closures during construction. Drivers should allow extra travel time and follow all posted traffic control signs for the safety of construction crews and the traveling public.

Additional transportation projects funded through the 2025 Bond Program will begin as design and construction schedules progress.

The $2.7 billion 2025 Bond program includes 547 projects, 433 of which are investments in streets, bridges and traffic improvements. Work funded through the bond is expected to continue through 2036.
