Allegiant launches another nonstop destination from Will Rogers World Airport today with its inaugural flight to Destin-Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. The seasonal service is the first nonstop flight to Florida’s Emerald Coast from Oklahoma City. The flights will operate twice weekly via the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VSP.)
“Allegiant’s inaugural flight today to Destin, Florida is a great way to kick off the summer travel season in OKC,” says Mark Kranenburg, Airports Director. “Destin becomes Allegiant’s third destination from Will Rogers World airport along with Las Vegas and Orlando. Will Rogers World Airport is the City’s commercial airport and accommodates over 3.5 million travelers each year. The airport will now serve 21 nonstop airports with an average of 75 daily departures. Will Rogers World Airport is owned by the City of Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City Airport Trust oversees the management and operation of the airport.
