Artist Bio

My name is Tara Juozitis, founder of Less Thorns, More Roses (LTMR Designs). I am a mixed media artist, born and raised in Michigan, who is inspired from just about anything. I love to create all things and tend to stay away from defined boundaries of any one genre. I have experience painting everything from realism to abstract, acrylic to oil, fluid to fabric. Having always been drawn to my creative side, I have recently decided to officially open up my own small art business where I specialize in selling originals and prints.

Throughout life, I have struggled with internal and external stressors that have led to moments of anxiety, depression, plummeted self-confidence, and even times of feeling like I failed as a mom, spouse, friend, or individual. A little while ago, my dad passed and I struggled immensely through the stages of grief afterwards. Being creative was my one outlet that I was able to escape from reality and express how I was feeling when I couldn't find my voice.

Creativity saved me.

Art and creativity has always been an outlet for me for whenever I hit that "dark space" which led me to wanting to share it with you.

In today's world, I wanted to find a way to help bring more positivity to the surface and spread love however I can.

Each piece is completed in a monochromatic style with one color representing each stage. Grey represents depression, green for bargaining, red for anger, purple for denial, and blue for acceptance. These pieces are a compilation of oil on canvas and have a layered effect of multiple 'feelings'.
