Artist Bio

Inhale, focus, click, release, a moment has just been captured; this has been the driving force for American photographer Sammy Babb. Her work is inspired by nature and the beauty of every day, with the fleeting sense of it being destroyed or forgotten. Through photography, photo manipulation and double exposure these ideas are brought to life, creating images so detailed the viewer has to take a double look to catch it all. Born in 1994, she has been photographing since she could hold a camera and honing her skill since 2014. Showing work in Pancakes and Booze Art Shows, and Second Friday Art Walk.

Title: Fleeting Life
Category: Visual Arts
Genre: Photography, Graphic Arts
Description: This work is meant to remind the viewer about the beauty of nature. How often do you walk outside and see a bird (or in this case a bison) and don't have a second thought about it? This image depicts a bison and several other animals that, if we are not careful, will go extinct in our lifetime. It is a reminder that we have a duty to this planet and all its inhabitants.

Title: Head in the Clouds
Category: Visual Arts
Genre: Photography, Graphic Arts
Description: This image reminds you how beautiful this world truly is and the vastness and power nature has. It also speaks to how we can be blind to what is right in front of us. This image serves to remind people that beauty is all around them, and if it goes unnoticed it will disappear before we know it.

Title: One with Nature
Category: Visual Arts
Genre: Photography, Graphic Arts
Description:We forget how important and delicate the balance of nature is. We need this planet in order to live, and the planet needs us to protect it from ourselves. We are just as much a part of this nature and the trees that grow in the woods as they are part of us. This image makes that comparison as we see a woman turning into the forest, completely intertwined. One cannot live without the other.
