Artist Bio

Erica Bonavida is an oil painter best known for realistic style described as stylized realism.   Born and raised in Oklahoma, she completed Bachelor degrees in both painting and French at the University of Central Oklahoma after returning from studies abroad. She has a long history of painting still lifes and has recently transitioned to a body of work primarily composed of the flora and fauna of her native state.

This piece is part of my flag series and quite special because the Oklahoma flag is a decommissioned flag from the State Capitol and the American flag is decommissioned from Fort Chaffee just over the border in to Arkansas.
