Artist Statement

My subject is nature, capturing a moment or memory that in just seconds transforms our hectic, high-tech world of peaceful beauty and majesty. We are allowed the time to take a deep breath, imagine, wonder - rest. 

I am intrigued with the process of different formats and materials on which to paint - as in experimenting to see if it was possible to make acrylics have the same feel and look of charcoal. Being part of the Pre-Qualified Pool offers that chance to have a fresh perspective on composing and problem solving in my art process.
