Artist Statement
Although I painted my first mural over 20 years ago, I have been doing art professionally since completing my BFA in 2007. Painting captivates me because it gives the world an immersive, artistic interaction. I love the idea of injecting some whimsy and magic into something as simple as a drive to the grocery store or a walk around the block. It gives the public an opportunity to create a memory, and in that way, the artwork becomes owned by the entire community. Over my career I have completed countless murals all over Oklahoma and surrounding states. I strive to do my best on each project and apply a strong working knowledge of material and mediums, including paint grades, durability and colorfastness. Much my commissioned work comes from repeat clients, which is a testimony to the effort I put in to communication, to inform and perform on each project and make sure the customer is happy in the end. I’m always excited to making something beautiful for the public.
