Artist Bio

Mayorca is an accomplished artist and interior designer passionate about creating public artworks representing communities' voices. Originally from Venezuela, she has been based in Oklahoma City since 2005. Her work spans various forms and media, but she particularly enjoys using creative and human-centered designs to create spaces that evoke positive emotions and memories—constantly taking into account aspects such as accessibility, adherence to city, state, and federal regulations and guidelines, universal design, longevity, and interactivity. After graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Fine Arts, she founded B Mayorca Art & Design Studio. Her exceptional work has earned her multiple local and national awards, and she is highly regarded in the field of public art development. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she also teaches at UCO's School of Design, sharing her knowledge and passion for art and design with the next generation.
