Artist Bio

Erik Sunderman and Elizabeth Mercer are local OKC artists, painting murals and signs together since 2005. They are insured and OSHA certified.

Elizabeth Mercer started as an intern for Artistic License Design Group (aka ALDG), a mural/sign business that Erik had already been working for, and from which we learned a lot. By combining their knowledge of art and business, Erik and Elizabeth became incorporated as Artists At Large Inc. in 2016 (a handle once used by their former boss, Randy Feureborn before he became co-owner at ALDG).

Over the years Erik and Elizabeth have created art in many forms, from fine art to murals, signs, logos, and mascots. They have created commissioned works for individuals, featured paintings and painted objects in galleries such as JRB, DNA, Nature Conservancy, and A Gallery. You can see their public art at businesses and establishments like Velvet Monkey salons, Children's Hospital, Ft. Sill Artillery Museum, OKC Zoo, and Sauced on Paseo.

Artist Statement

We believe the client deserves to be as involved as they want to meet the goals of the project. We do not shy away from designing projects to fit the client's needs. Creating is what we love, and we have felt privileged to live our life making art for anyone to enjoy.
