Artist Statement
I believe that my artwork is the opposite of my mind. My mind is rather busy and chaotic, creative if you like, but therefore I really like my environment to be organized, clean, uncluttered, and therefore calming. This is also reflected by my artwork. My illustrations are clean, often inspired by architecture and cities, but also trees and bicycles are featured regularly. Sometimes I choose to make the illustration in just a black and white, other times I experiment with colors and turn the sky into an abstract, colorful pattern. Small details and elements that one might not see at first sight, bring the artwork to life and make it approachable.
