Development within the Downtown Business District (DBD), the Downtown Transitional District Limited (DTD-1) and the Downtown Transitional District General (DTD-2) requires special design review.
The regulations and guidelines of the district ensure development and redevelopment is consistent and compatible with the unique and diverse design elements of downtown Oklahoma City.
The Downtown Design Review Committee and staff review proposals for new construction, additions and exterior modifications to existing buildings and all site modifications within the downtown design districts. The committee and staff also review signage, requests for demolition and City projects such as street furnishings.
