Average monthly billing is a program to help smooth out seasonal highs and lows of your monthly utility bill. The amount due will be more predictable each month and great for your budget.
Your average monthly bill is determined by adding past bills (up to 12 months) and dividing the total by number of bills. The amount billed may vary from month to month, depending on future water use.
If you stop average monthly billing, the balance will be added/subtracted to your next bill. You are eligible for average monthly billing if you:
- Have water service
- Are on Auto Bill Pay
- Have received at least one utility bill
- Are a residential customer (single-family dwelling, duplex or mobile home)
