Lighting Guidelines

Applications for lighting of the Skydance Bridge should promote the corporate interests and welfare of the City of Oklahoma City. Requests from commercial entities seeking to promote a product or service will not be approved. Other types of requests that will not be approved include:

  • Recognition of an individual’s birthday
  • Recognition of marriage anniversaries

The Public Works Department administers the Skydance Bridge lighting application process. Lighting applications should be submitted on the Skydance Bridge Special Lighting Application form. Applications must be received by the Public Works Department no less than thirty (30) days prior to the requested special lighting date. Applications will be considered on a first come / first served basis.

Groups and/or individuals submitting special lighting applications will be notified in writing as to the approval or denial of their request. Applications that are denied may be appealed in writing to the City Manager’s Office. The appeal must include information substantiating the request and how it promotes the corporate interests and welfare of the City of Oklahoma City.
