Severe weather, May 20:

Monday’s trash and recycling pickup in Oklahoma City is postponed to Wednesday due to the severe weather threat. Collection on Tuesday will be delayed by an hour. City of OKC Recreation Centers are closed today due the threat of severe weather. Be prepared, not scared. Parts of Sheridan, Robinson closed after Devon Energy Center incident

Parts of Sheridan and Robinson avenues are closed in downtown Oklahoma City during ongoing inspections and repairs at the Devon Energy Center. The streets should reopen later this week.

Sheridan is closed from Robinson to Hudson Avenue, and Robinson is closed from Sheridan to Main Street. The Police Department is recommending the street remain closed until the building’s exterior is secured.

The area below damaged parts of the tower is at risk from falling debris after an incident Wednesday involving a crane-mounted maintenance platform.

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is closed until the area is considered safe.

Oklahoma City Streetcar service will use buses to take passengers on a detour around the closed streets, with regular service on the rest of the route.

EMBARK bus route 011 has a detour around the closed streets.
