Monday’s trash and recycling pickup in Oklahoma City is postponed to Wednesday due to the severe weather threat. Promote sustainability with a rain barrel, available for online ordering until May 12

The City of Oklahoma City and the Central Oklahoma Storm Water Alliance (COSWA) are offering discounted rain barrels for sale to encourage residents to reduce pollution.

You can buy the discounted rain barrels online at for $63.50 each. Look at the “order forms” section on the right side of the web page and choose “Oklahoma Municipal Program.”

The deadline to order is May 12.

You can use the 55-gallon barrels to collect water from rainfall, reducing stormwater runoff and helping improve the water quality in our local waterways.

Rain barrels ordered online (or by mail) can be picked up from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 17 or 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. May 18 from the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 1621 S Portland Ave.
