Egg Hunt 5K and more Easter family fun at Stars & Stripes Park on March 31
Bring the whole family for Easter fun at Stars & Stripes Park on March 31 for the Egg Hunt 5K, Tiny Tot Egg Hunt, the Easter Bunny and more.
The event begins at 9:15 a.m. with the Tiny Tot Egg Hunt (ages 0-5) and the Kids Bunny Hop (ages 6-12). Bring an Easter basket for the little ones to collect eggs in a traditional egg hunt, while the older children run a half-mile course and hunt for eggs with goodies inside. Kids can also get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
The officially timed Egg Hunt 5K begins at 10 a.m. and will feature eggs to find along the course. Each egg takes time off your official race time, and golden eggs come with a prize. Walkers, wheelchairs and strollers are welcome. Service animals only, please.
Register for the 5K by March 30 at okc.gov/parksignup. Registration is $35 (or $40 on the day of the event) and includes a timing chip, bib, finisher medal, water bottle and fanny pack for collecting eggs.
Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers for both official and unofficial times, plus age group awards. The age groups are 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. The awards ceremony is immediately following the race.
Packet pickup is noon to 7 p.m. March 29-30 at OK Runner’s new Automobile Alley location, 708 N Broadway Ave.
