Parks Department to host end of life planning seminar Oct. 19
Thoughtful planning for the end of life is something generally delayed until it’s too late to make the best decisions. Take the initiative to plan for final days or those of a loved one by attending Parks & Recreation’s “Embrace the Journey,” and end-of-life resource event.
The seminar, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Oklahoma City-County Health Department, 2600 NE 63rd Street, will feature professionals speaking about end-of-life decisions. Topics include legal decisions, creative legacies, new options in funeral arrangements, how to start difficult conversations, making final wishes clear and what a chaplain hears in final conversations. Community-based organizations will also be on hand with information and services.
The event is free and snacks will be provided.
