Dead animals require owner attention Owners of dead animals are required to properly dispose of them. They should not be placed in trash bins, but may be brought to the City of Oklahoma City’s Animal Welfare Division at 2811 SE 29th between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., 7 days a week. If you are disabled or otherwise unable to physically handle the animal, Animal Welfare can collect and properly dispose of dead animals for owners and from public property. If you have a dead animal to report, call the Action Center at 297-2535, Monday through Friday (closed holidays) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Give them a detailed location and type of animal. You can also call the Emergency Operations Center at 297-2255 when the Action Center is closed.
