Bulk Waste (Big Junk) One day a month, residents can set their bulk waste – or big junk – at the curb no earlier than three days before the scheduled pickup day. Go to www.okc.gov or call 297-2833 for your Bulk Waste Day. Bulk waste includes household appliances, furniture, mattresses, carpet, large cardboard boxes, tree limbs (no need to bundle) and fencing. Collection crews will take four cubic yards of waste – about the size of two refrigerators. An additional charge will be applied to your utility bill for additional waste. No bagged items, please. Save those for the weekly collection. Place bulk waste at least five feet from mailboxes and other items on the ground and 10 feet from overhead obstacles. To report bulk waste problems, call the Action Center at 297-2535 and provide the address at which the problem is occurring and a description of the problem (i.e. big junk left out too early, big junk not picked up, etc.).
