The Office of Sustainability is responsible for enhancing the City’s energy efficiency efforts and promoting sustainability throughout the organization and the community. 

The office coordinates energy efficiency upgrades and provides technical recommendations, sustainability planning and outreach services to City Departments and the public. The purpose of the office is to integrate sustainability principles into decision making for improved economic, environmental and social health.

Energy Management
The City's Energy Manager is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting the City’s energy consumption. Through its energy management program, the Office of Sustainability assists City Departments with conducting life cycle cost analyses, reconciling utility accounts, improving building energy performance and reducing utility costs.

Community Programs and Resources
The Office of Sustainability coordinates public education and outreach programs intended to encourage environmental conservation, social equity, and economic vitality throughout the City through both City and community partnerships and provides event management support to partners.
