The Street construction & maintenance section is charged with performing functions related to maintenance and repair of asphalt and concrete streets, bridges, roads and unimproved roads, including chip-seal construction as well as Neighborhood Initiative projects. Maintenance services include asphalt base repair, permanent and temporary asphalt patching, curb and gutter replacement, street panel repair, and bridge deck maintenance.

The Drainage construction & maintenance section is responsible for performing functions related to maintenance and repair of drainage structures, creeks and the North Canadian River Channel. Improved drainage services include storm sewer cleaning, concrete liner and structure maintenance, tin horn maintenance and installation, storm sewer manhole and catch basin maintenance and lateral maintenance.

This Division also applies necessary treatments (salting, plowing, sanding, etc.) to major arterial streets to maintain drivable conditions during snow and ice conditions, as well as removal of obstructions to roadway access.
