How To Adopt
Thank you for visiting the Adopt-A-City Street Page!
Adopting a city street is very simple to do. There are four steps to follow:

  1. Contact the City of Oklahoma City Public Works Department at 297-2581 or via email with the name of the street  your organization wishes to adopt.
  2. Once we verify that the street you have chosen is available, we will send you an INFORMATION PACKET that includes information for you to discuss with your group as well as a application and agreement that need to be completed and returned to Public Works, 420 West Main Street, 7th Floor, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.
  3. The Adopt-A-City Street Program Coordinator will contact you concerning setting up a time to meet with the volunteers for a mandatory Safety Training Meeting and set up your first clean-up date. Prior to each cleanup date, the City will provide trash bags and reflective vests. After your first cleanup is completed, your organization’s special Adopt-A-City Street recognition signs will be installed.
  4. Contact the Program Coordinator two weeks prior to each cleanup to obtain trash bags and vests.

For your convenience, here is an Application and Agreement for you to complete and send to the Program Coordinator.
