The Year 2000 bond program focuses on basic infrastructure improvements,
including more than 400 street resurfacing projects; expanding or building five branch
libraries; replacing one police and two fire stations; improving parks, community centers,
athletic facilities and trails; and expanding the animal shelter. The property tax rate
will not be raised to repay the bonds. The City will maintain the current 16-mill levy.
