Bricktown Urban Design District
Planning

The Bricktown Urban Design Committee oversees modifications to the buildings in the Bricktown district east of Downtown, with an eye toward preserving its 'warehouse district' flavor while allowing commercial and retail development.

The general boundary of the Bricktown Core Development District is as follows: An area bordered generally by the BNSF Railroad; Reno Avenue; Centennial Expressway; and the railroad right-of-way between Main and NE 1st.

The Bricktown Urban Design Committee administers the design review process for the Bricktown Core Development District. The committee reviews proposed changes and issues or denies 'Certificates of Approval' based on its findings. Its decisions may be appealed to the Board of Adjustment.

Bricktown Urban Design District requires a separate design review and approval. PROCESS FOR OBTAINING A BUILDING PERMIT FOR PROJECTS WITHIN A DESIGN DISTRICT
